The Relationship Among Problem-Solving, Coping Styles and Stress Levels of Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Typical Development

<p style="text-align: justify;">This research investigated the correlations among problem-solving, coping styles, and stress levels of parents children with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity typical development. We used a correlational survey model design collected data Problem-Solving Inventory (PSI), Ways Coping Questionnaire (WCQ), Parent Stress Scale (PSS). The study group consisted 350 parents. findings revealed that were negatively correlated functional strategies problem-solving. found no significant difference between Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity (ADHD) development in terms problem-solving approaches. Considering relationships WCQ scores, there was statistically subscales self-confidence approach, submissiveness, optimistic seeking social support. Only subscale helplessness differed based on disability. Regarding groups levels, we developmental had lower PSS scores than groups. believe preventive support programs for management can make contributions to efficient methods problem-solving.</p>
